Hope Clinic provides healthcare to the diverse community of Houston. The staff will have the capability to attend visitors speaking over 30 languages. The building integrated Feng Shui to incorporate the spirit and beliefs of the coalition. The interior design utilized the natural elements as the concept to create a healing and balanced atmosphere.

The 400,000 SF hospital sits on a 32-acre with immediate access to Highway 290. The hospital consists of 81 beds and array of medical departments ranging from Neonatal Intensive to Catherization Labs. The Hospital contains an MOB addition to promote and support growth of the hospital.
Program Diagrams
The programming of the hospital was developed with future shell spaces to assist with the budget. The many departments within the hospital needed to be designed so that all the patient beds had a window while imaging remain separate from common patient areas. A helipad was also placed on the roof of the hospital to retrieve the patients quickly and efficiently.

The hospital contains an emergency department and 10 patient in- patient beds. The facility provides a cancer center that includes a Linear Accelerator room in the basement level. The building was designed with future phases that would assist the hospital’s revenue. The 2nd and 3rd level will contain medical offices and tenant spaces in its future phasing of the practice.

The micro-hospital concept consists of having a hospital that has the full capabilities of an urgent care and specialty care center in a reduced footprint. This facility houses outpatient and inpatient areas. The building’s exterior is designed to bring in a Spanish Renaissance style to healthcare in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The City of Waco sought to connect to the riverfront development that will encompass Baylor University’s basketball arena and Texas Ranger Museum. The development will carry the development from S University Parks Dr to the Brazos River.
Master Plan
The riverwalk incorporates a boating dock, pedestrian bridge, overlook, and streetscape improvement along the river front. Underneath the bridge a waterfall feature is introduced to give its users a soothing cascading waterfall for anyone walking or biking through this bridge. The project is inclusive to water and bridge users alike.

Rice University has the arts instilled in the fabric of the campus. The Visual Arts and Design named the Susan and Fayez Sarofim Hall to commemorate the donors of Rice’s art collections and growth. The campus’s focus is to create a seamless indoor and outdoor work area as well as student gathering welcoming the community to the student’s work. The landscape will introduce a screening area to invite the community to enjoy movies and outdoor events.
The site is home to a tree planted by Andy Warhol. The design highlights both the tree and the visual arts and design deck. The site creates a connection to the street inviting the community to utilize the space. The existing site contains beautiful planting that is brought to the deck and flexible deck area. The deck consists of a series of monumental steps, seat walls, and vegetation that the students can enjoy.

The Centennial Tower is a 26 story hospital tower that will be located in the Texas Medical framing. The angulated structurete a roof garden. The roof garden contains planting, seating, and an arbor to provide shade to its users. The arbor will be made of perforated sheet metal and steel framing. The angulated structure offers an interesting sculptural element to the site. The intricate steel connection is left exposedto offer another element for the viewers of the floors above.
